Today’s Groupon is good for $60 worth of tanning services and products, such as bronzing in Gold’n Tan’s Matrix ($50 per session), billed as Canada’s fastest tanning bed after running a 5:46 mile. This Italian–made high-pressure unit—in both lie-down and stand-up models—uses a filtered UV light that blocks most UVB rays. Fair-skinned ladies and gents report that these friendly filtered rays allow them to tan without burning their skin. Those focused on quantity skip economical yet dangerous DIY fire tanning and instead take advantage of the bargain beds ($15 per session, or a block of 100 minutes for $80). Additionally, tanners can kick start their new tanned looks with the sunless tanning system, which mists ghostly facades in a streak-free golden glow ($50 per session).
