The spirit of the lindy hop still shines at Let’s Swing. Here, enthusiastic instructors embody the fun-loving, inclusive attitude that the dance style ushered in when it was born during the 1920s in Harlem. They encourage aspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels to proudly swing out during classes that emphasize having fun and expressing yourself.

Throughout the week at two different studios, they invite students to show off what they’ve learned at dance parties set to a big-band soundtrack. They also host Swingin’ Mondays dance nights at Red Piano. This classy joint has a dress code, so dancers should don their finest vintage duds and get ready to channel Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire, or Skippy “Twinkle Toes” Groovebottom, the finest swinger to come out of Digby, Nova Scotia.
