Over the last decade, the 170-foot paddle wheeler Edmonton Queen Riverboat has hosted a wide variety of passengers, from wedding guests and live bands to couples on dates. It has even ferried a Titanic survivor down the river.
Passengers board the boat for leisure, family, and dinner cruises and take in the picturesque views of Edmonton’s river valley and city. While they journey across the water, they can dine on paninis and burgers, which are served all day, or prime roast and seasonal vegetable medleys, which are served during dinner cruises. All of the paddle wheeler’s food is made in house from scratch, and the chefs often incorporate the produce of local growers.
Throughout the summer, the Edmonton Queen Riverboat puts on special theme nights, including Maritime Night, which features a seafood buffet and live music and dancing, and a Canada Day fireworks night. It also hosts class field trips, during which kids tour the boat and find out information about the paddle wheeler, including how much it weighs and what kind of tax credits the ship is eligible for.
