Speers’ Beers’ seasoned staff guides guests through tastings of 25 to 30 international wines in a four-hour tasting festival. Peruse tables laden with white and red varieties on temporary loan from regions of the U.S, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, and Canada. Wine connoisseurs test palates with pours at each station and supply tasting notes about each wine, such as which grapes respond poorly to stomping but well to Swedish massage. While tasting, samplers pair sips with a spread of cheese, crackers, fruits, and chocolates. Visitors fill their carrying bags with bottles using their store credit, which can be used to lure in any libations sampled that day (wines range from $12.99–$34.99). Speers’ Beers grants an additional 15% off on cases, and can order specialty items not in stock upon verbal or silent, charades-style request.
